Tether, the largest stablecoin USDT developer, has released a new official recovery tool. This application helps to move USDT holdings between blockchains easily, eliminating any disruptions caused by blockchain outages. It ensures continuous access to USDT for its large user base.
The recovery tool offers consumers a quicker approach for migrating USDT from affected blockchains. Individuals can utilize a user-friendly UI to confirm ownership of their addresses on the uncooperative blockchain and specify a beneficiary address on another supported blockchain.
Tether uses cryptocurrencygraphic signatures and supports common browser extension wallets as well as hardware wallets such as the Ledger and Trezor.
A command-line interface also allows users to enter their private keys and sign messages with open-source programs that run locally.
Tether’s USDT functions on nearly 15 blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, Tron, and Tezos, demonstrating its responsibility. The organization assures security by evaluating potential threats prior to connecting with new blockchains.
