Milady, an NFT project, experienced amazing success with its new meme coin presale on the Solana network, generating 88,888 Solana (SOL), or $18 million, in just two hours. The coin is known as the Milady wif Hat. Due to high demand, the presale concluded earlier than the initially scheduled 24-hour period.
The Milady team indicated that any further funds raised by Solana would be fully returned, and they thanked everyone for their support. However, a security breach derailed this victory.
Charlotte Fang, the inventor of the Milady and Remilia NFT projects, revealed a significant hack that caused millions of dollars in losses on March 16. The compromise affected Treasury addresses and connected wallets, which Fang ascribed to unidentified spyware infiltrating her password manager.
PeckShield and Dumpster DAO experts confirmed the vulnerability and identified strange transactions that occurred after treasury control shifted. This event follows Milady’s social media accounts being hacked and a $1 million robbery in September 2023.
