Leading semiconductor manufacturer AMD has partnered with Wormhole, a project that offers interoperability across over 30 blockchains. This week, a blog post was used to announce these news. Through the partnership, Wormhole’s zero-knowledge (zk) framework will be strengthened, leading to the elimination of systemic trust presumptions.
To expand its zk Technology, Wormhole will, nevertheless, be acquiring hardware accelerators and skilled staff from AMD. Wormhole intends to transfer its verification layer to a decentralized architecture by using zk proofs, a technique that allows information to be proved without disclosing sensitive information. This approach will undoubtedly increase the protocol’s security and dependability.
As part of AMD’s involvement, their FPGAs will be added for a crucial technology that is well-known for having effective parallelization. Wormholes zk apps’ scalability can be enabled in a way that minimizes costs.
