Susquehanna International group, a prominent financial company with $481 billion in assets under management, announced on Tuesday that it had begun purchasing Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
According to a 13F filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Susquehanna invested more than $1 billion in Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) and $1.3 billion in total across ten spot Bitcoin ETFs.
Susquehanna purchased shares of eight Bitcoin ETFs, including those from Fidelity, Ark 21Shares, Franklin Templeton, Bitwise, and VanEck. The holdings included WisdomTree, Invesco Galaxy, and Valkyrie.
This is the largest Bitcoin ETF portfolio currently held by a single corporation, demonstrating the growing institutional attention paid to Bitcoin.
These statistics exclude purchases made after March 31, but Susquehanna’s decision to engage in Bitcoin demonstrates that significant institutional investors want to join in cryptocurrencycurrencies. Furthermore, the continued inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs show optimistic sentiment toward Bitcoin.
