Saga, a popular web3 Layer-1 protocol and developer environment, has introduced Saga Origins, a new game publishing branch. This is an important milestone for the industry because it enables developers to collaborate with businesses and publish their work.
To bring games to market, Saga Origins intends to give a “full service and collaborative approach,” which includes user acquisition, community building, and marketing campaigns. This week, Saga is advertising network games such as Rogue Nation, despite the fact that no games have been launched under the name.
“We love the developers that are creating games in Web3,” Saga co-founder and CEO Rebecca Liao said of Saga Origins. “We want to break with convention and use our platform to bring users to the games instead of the game developers, who often bear the burden of attracting new players to the platforms.”
“Developers will be able to bring bold, ambitious, and uncompromising games to consumers that will revolutionize how we will all view games,” Liao said.
Aside from the Saga Origins announcement, the company also revealed the launch date of its Saga mainnet, which is set for April.
Following months of play-to-airdrop competitions, Saga has initiated an airdrop claim that will benefit holders of NFTs such as CryptoPunks and the Bored Ape Yacht Club, as well as DeFi token holders.
By implementing this innovative technique, Saga intends to build a strong ecosystem for game developers and market cutting-edge web3 games, confirming its position as a pathfinder in the rapidly emerging field of decentralized gaming.
