Recent data from Santiment, a cryptocurrencycurrency intelligence platform, reveals that Osmosis, a decentralized exchange within the Cosmos ecosystem, has emerged as the most active DeFi project in recent times.
Beyond other prominent competitors, the decentralized perpetual exchange dydX achieved second place with 145 commits, closely trailed by Synthetix, the derivatives liquidity protocol, with 116.
Osmosis has experienced a notable upsurge, with over 169 changes on GitHub in only the previous month, according to Santiment’s findings, which were released on March 25.
Growing interest in airdrop farming both inside the Cosmos ecosystem and outside of it in the cryptocurrencycurrency space is reflected in the spike in Osmosis’ development effort. The main source of current excitement for Cosmos is Osmosis, which has emerged as the preferred decentralized exchange.
Santiment explained that their method of evaluating “developer activity” was to average all distinct GitHub contributions from each project’s repositories.
Projects that utilize essential components of the Cosmos ecosystem for their platforms, such as Celestia (TIA) and Dymension (DYM), have also contributed to this spike in interest. Encouraging farmers who are involved in the environment have received significant airdrops from these initiatives totaling hundreds of millions of dollars.
