According to a recent statement from CEO Bryan Pellegrino, LayerZero Labs has formally barred its staff members from taking part in the next airdrop of its tokens.
He underlined the company’s dedication to openness and equity in the distribution process by stressing that any attempt by an employee to claim tokens would be viewed as grounds for termination.
Enhances Security Measures Amid Airdrop Regulations
Applications can be developed over any blockchain that supports programmable security primitives using the LayerZero protocol, which was developed by LayerZero Labs.
No LayerZero Labs employee is eligible to take part in the airdrop, according to Pellegrino, who also stated that the internal regulation has been in place for some time. By making this choice, we hope to avoid conflicts of interest and preserve the integrity of the airdrop event.
Taking the initiative, LayerZero has strengthened its security protocols. Since the phishing incident that occurred in July 2023, when criminals utilized a phony airdrop to drain funds from victims’ wallets, even more measures have been put in place. The precise loss is not revealed.
