On the Ethereum mainnet, INTMAX has introduced Plasma Next, an open-source Layer 2 scaling solution. Plasma Next is built on the Plasma framework, which was conceived in 2017 by Vitalik Buterin and Joseph Poon. To improve security and privacy, Plasma Next integrates zero-knowledge proofs, or ZKPs.
INTMAX co-founder Leona Hioki introduced Plasma Next at ETH Denver, meeting the original Plasma framework’s scalability objectives. It does away with the requirement for individual user liquidity by scaling at a fixed cost per block, independent of the number of users. This is made possible by features like Merkle trees and bulk-token transfers.
A major shift, Plasma Next promises scalability without sacrificing decentralization. The user experience is greatly enhanced when obstacles like lengthy withdrawal wait times and the need to keep track of every transaction are removed. Furthermore possible with ZKP-TLC connection is conditional payments.
Plasma Next combines the best features of both Plasma and zkRollups to revolutionize scalability for blockchain technology. The code’s release and public availability mark the culmination of years of research. Blockchains can become widely used thanks to Plasma Next’s transaction simplification and privacy-enhancing features.
