HashKey Group, a Hong Kong-based digital asset services company, announced the forthcoming launch of its Ethereum Layer-2 network HashKey Chain on Tuesday during the 2024 Hong Kong Web3 Festival.
According to the company, the network, which uses zero knowledge-proof technology, intends to expand HashKey’s Web3 ecosystem by offering users economical, effective, and developer-friendly on-chain services. HashKey hopes to deploy a testnet within the next six months, followed by a mainnet launch in less than a year.
According to the company, its zero knowledge-proof technology, which includes an extensive developer toolset and an easy-to-use blockchain browser, can increase the chain’s scalability and cost-efficiency.
The corporation went on to state that security will always come first, and plans include community participation in security testing as well as independent code audits. According to the press release, the network’s goal is to provide developers with a safe and self-regulating environment, which is enabled by HashKey’s platform token, HSK.
HashKey Cloud, a web3 infrastructure provider and division of the HashKey Group, will power HashKey Chain. Since 2018, the company has provided node validation services for over 80 public chains.
After gaining the appropriate license in Bermuda, HashKey Global, a new cryptocurrencycurrency exchange, was opened on Monday. After raising almost $100 million in a Series A investment round in January, the company is planning another round of funding later this year.
