According to analysts at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), The European Union should establish a new corporation to take the lead in creating a new virtual reality metaverse.
They draw comparisons between the concept and Airbus, the large airline composed of companies from several European nations.
In 2000, aircraft manufacturers from France, Germany, and Spain merged to establish Airbus. It is now the leading manufacturer of helicopters and airplanes worldwide. Experts in London believe that Europe can maintain its competitiveness by taking a similar approach to metaverse innovation.
According to a recent report, by starting a metaverse company in the “Airbus-style,” Europe may outperform the US, China, and other nations in creating the next wave of virtual worlds and the internet. They underlined that Europe has the economic might and scientific prowess to lead this developing field.
A cross-national “industrial cluster” for the metaverse, according to the paper, “will create specialized internet skills in Europe” and add interest to related educational programs. They examined well-known European companies including BMW, Ikea, and Ericsson that are now engaged in metaverse projects.
