Iran started a drone offensive against Israel on Saturday in reaction to a week-old airstrike on an Iranian embassy complex in Syria. The attack comes amid rising tensions between the two countries.
The price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencycurrencies has plummeted in response to tensions between Iran and Israel.
According to reports, Israeli Defense Forces spokesperson Daniel Hagari acknowledged the drone attack, saying that it will “take a number of hours” to reach Israel. Preemptively, Israel’s and Iraq’s airspaces have been closed to all flights as the countries prepare to defend against the impending invasion.
Despite the escalating situation, Hagari has stated that the Israeli military is “prepared and ready” to defend against the drone attack and respond appropriately. The White House has also committed to assist Israel in its defense against Iran’s aggression
The drone attack comes after an airstrike last week in Syria that killed two Iranian generals, which Iran blamed on Israel. According to a US official, Iran has responded by launching “dozens” of drones.
