Nadeem Anjarwalla, a Binance executive who recently got away from Nigerian detention, has been located in Kenya and may soon be extradited back to face the music.
The Punch, a Nigerian daily, said on Monday, citing anonymous government sources, that Anjarwalla might be extradited to Nigeria within the week through INTERPOL.
Nigerian authorities have discovered Anjarwalla in Kenya and are coordinating with Kenyan officials to repatriate the executive, as reported by Nigeria’s Daily Post last week, citing government sources.
Anjarwalla, a British-Kenyan citizen, was held with another Binance executive, Tigran Gambaryan, on charges ranging from currency manipulation to money laundering. He escaped in March, purportedly using a secret Kenyan passport.
Gambaryan is still in Nigeria and has pled not guilty to money laundering accusations, so Binance agreed to release him on tax evasion charges.
