The Nigerian government has located Nadeem Arjarwalla, a Binance executive who left the nation after being arrested on suspicion of money laundering, according to a Punch report.
Binance Executive Arjarwalla was arrested in Nigeria on March 22 and boarded a flight from the capital, Abuja. However, his track has now been traced to Kenya, where he went into hiding. Nigerian officials have revealed that they are working with international organizations to return the fugitive executive to the country.
Nigerian authorities, Interpol, and Kenyan police are currently working together to extradite Arjarwalla to Nigeria so that he can stand prosecution there.
The charges against Arjarwalla originate from allegations that Binance, the cryptocurrencycurrency exchange he represents, manipulated the naira, Nigeria’s fiat currency. He was held with another Binance official, but only Arjarwalla was able to exit the country.
